We conducted a specialized on-site diagnostic and condition inspection of a Leitner KSS6/U gearbox, a high-performance unit with a rectangular shaft architecture serving the ropeway industry. In an environment where uncompromising safety and 24/7 reliability are essential, monitoring a 300 kW drive with a significant reduction ratio of 66.73:1 requires the highest level of technical expertise.

During the technical evaluation, Wikov specialists utilized advanced diagnostic tools to inspect the internal gear geometry. The analysis revealed the presence of pitting on the bevel gears, a critical indicator of surface fatigue.
